Sometimes less is more. Over the past three years, Willet has had the opportunity to tour overseas to places in Ethiopia and Bahamas, as well as preparing for trips to Mozambique, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Australia. As we began to tour more internationally, we were able to spend time writing some acoustic worship music to use for more intimate settings such as poverty-stricken villages, dirt-floor churches, and orphanages. As we prepared to release our 3rd Willet record, we wanted to capture some of these moments and record 5 of those original worship songs with nothing but 2 acoustic guitars and vocals. The production that normally goes into a Willet recording has been stripped down to a raw, casual listening experience that will hopefully expose more of our hearts for the poor, lost and hopeless.
"Somewhere in between" is a 2CD album (1 CD with 5 full band rock songs and the other CD with 5 original acoustic worship songs). This record is an invitation into the life of a small touring rock band with big dreams of helping people around the world. To God be the glory.
